This guide explains how to properly install your Stinger Lighting Lumix STL0425S 100W LED Driving Light. Follow the steps carefully to ensure a safe and optimal installation of your new driving light.

Preliminary Steps

  • Read all instructions carefully and review the provided diagrams before beginning the installation.
  • Check with your state and local authorities regarding the legal use and proper mounting of auxiliary driving lamps.
  • Disconnect the ground connection from the vehicle battery (marked "-") to prevent accidental short circuits during installation.
  • Route new wires alongside existing vehicle wiring. Use tape where necessary to secure wires and correct slack.
  • If running wires through the vehicle firewall, ensure they are kept clear of all moving parts.

Mounting the Light

  1. Drill 10.5mm holes on the desired mounting surface where you intend to install the light.
  2. Use the supplied bolt to fasten the lamp. Add the locking washer and tighten the bolt securely.

Wiring Guide

Connect the wires as follows:

Wire Colour Function
Black Driving / Park Light Ground (-)
Red Driving Light Power (+)
White Park Light Power (+) — White Colour
Yellow Park Light Power (+) — Amber Colour

Important Note: Using the amber park light disables E-Mark certification.

Warnings

  • Operate this light only within the specified voltage range (DC 9-36V).
  • This light becomes hot during continuous use. Do not remove or touch the casing for at least 30 minutes after switching it off.
  • Keep the heat-sink clean and exposed to ensure proper airflow and cooling.

Final Testing

  • Reconnect the vehicle battery.
  • Test the light in all modes to confirm correct operation:
    • Driving Light (Red & Black wires connected)
    • Park Light White (White & Black wires connected)
    • Park Light Amber (Yellow & Black wires connected — note: disables E-Mark)
  • Verify that all cables are securely fastened and clear of any moving or hot components.
