How to Install the Stinger Lighting ELIO STL0610S2 & ELIO STL101052 LED Driving Lights

This guide explains how to install your Stinger Lighting ELIO STL0610S2 20-Inch 60W LED Light Bar and Stinger Lighting ELIO STL101052 13-Inch 60W LED Light Bar. Follow these steps carefully to ensure safe and optimal installation of your new ELIO LED light bars.

Preliminary Steps

  • Read all instructions carefully and review diagrams before beginning installation.
  • Check with state and local authorities regarding the legal use and proper mounting of auxiliary driving lamps.
  • Disconnect the ground connection from the vehicle battery (marked "-") to prevent accidental short circuits during installation.
  • Route new wires alongside existing vehicle wiring. Tape wires where necessary to secure slack.
  • If running wires through the vehicle firewall, ensure they are kept clear of all moving parts.

Mounting the Lights

  1. Drill 8.5mm holes for screw placement on the surface where you want to mount the lights.
  2. Use the supplied bolt to fasten each lamp. Add the locking washer and tighten the bolt securely.
  3. These lights offer multi-mounting options: Side Bracket and Bottom Bracket. Choose the configuration that best suits your vehicle and lighting needs.

Connect the wires as follows:

Warnings

  • Operate these lights only within the specified voltage range (DC 9-36V).
  • The lights become hot during continuous use. Do not remove or touch the casing for at least 30 minutes after turning the lights off.
  • Keep the heat-sink clean and exposed to ensure proper airflow and cooling.

Final Testing

  • Reconnect the vehicle battery.
  • Test all lighting modes to confirm correct operation:
    • Driving Beam
    • Clear Park Light
    • Amber Park Light
  • Ensure all cables are secured and clear of any moving parts or heat sources.
